Janaki J. Pucadyil
A practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the integration of human physiology and psychology.
MY STORY
My path in the mental health sphere began over thirty years ago. It started with the quiet, foundational years of clinical training—a time that taught me how to listen before I learned how to guide.

For fifteen years, I practised as a therapist and counselor in Mumbai. But in 2008, my life shifted when I relocated to Switzerland. Like many major transitions, it was a period of profound reorientation.

During those initial years, I could not help but teach myself to paint. Surrounded by the immense, steady beauty of the Swiss landscape, it would have been a miracle not to be touched by it. Art became a vital language for me; it helped me navigate the complex emotions of the expat experience and the particular weight of being far from home.
I realized then that my work wasn’t changing—it was evolving.

This synthesis of science and art became the heart of CONNECTEDLIVING, which I established in Cham in 2016.

Today, this integration forms the core and the heart of my work. My background in biochemistry allows me to understand the physiological reality of stress and illness, while my clinical training in psychology provides the framework to navigate the emotional weight that follows. I incorporate creative practice in the form of Mindfulness and Intuitive Art because I know that sometimes, a visual image can find a truth that words simply cannot.
I provide a safe and supportive space for those navigating their own life disruptions—helping bridge the gap between the science of what is happening and the agency to choose what comes next.

THE MUSIC OF WATER

Private Collection
This piece was inspired by the river near Trümmelbach Falls. I’ve always found the sound of a mountain river to be a natural regulator—a steady presence that helps me find my center.
While this painting has since moved to a private collection, its essence remains a part of my practice. I share it here as a reflection of my own 'mindful pauses' and a reminder that, like the river, there is always a way to find flow, even through the stone

MORE ABOUT ME
While my work is my passion, my family is my anchor. Though my roots are in India, Switzerland has been our home since 2008. It is here that we raised our son—who is now forging his own path—and where our lively Labrador, Rudy, continues to keep our daily adventures full of spirit and joy.
